This item is a large cookbook called “The Epicurean” from 1920 by Charles Ranhofer of Delmonicos.  On one of the front pages “Dixie Taylor Hotel” is written in pencil.  The binding is just beginning to come loose from the book and two or three of the first pages have come loose.  The leather cover is peeling in some places and has some scuffs and scratches from age and use.  Someone has placed a piece of scotch tap across the bottom of the spine.  The pages of the book are a little yellowed and dirty from age.  The book measures 3” tall, 8 ½” wide and 11” long.
